"Flaming June" by Sir Frederic Leighton
Painted and produced in 1985, “The Flaming June” is one of the most precious Victorian art pieces ever painted. Lord Frederic at the time was a very important figure in the art world of England. Today it is preserved in the “Art Museum of Ponce” in Puerto Rico.

“Year 46” is a painting about the life of the Jibaro in the 1940’s. “Jibaro’s” are country folk or farmers that are proud to live off the land in Puerto Rico. The origin of the term “Jibaro” goes way back to the Taino mestizo Indian times. It has the meaning or thought of “Men of the Forest”.
